Engineer Trainee at Instrumentointi Ltd

In Instrumentointi I worked for Simulation Systems department, which develops PC-based simulators mainly for the military. My work consisted mostly of object oriented C++ programming, design and documentation. Some projects in which I participated:

• Testing and developing SimCore, a simulator platform for Windows
• Developing a tool to create and manage complex training scenarios.
• Modifying an application which generates intelligence information from simulated tactical situation to the command post.
• Designing an application to create and modify terrain.
• Developing and testing software for optical range finder`s simulator. I wrote my Master`s Thesis on this project.

I worked part-time while studying. My hours varied depending on urgency of school and work-related projects. Overall I worked for a total of more than 3000 hours, which corresponds about 20 months of full-time employment.
